David Houghton is a world renowned Meteorologist, an expert on the subject, having written Weather Forecasts first in 1968 and updated annually, as well as countless other books, journals and articles on the subject.

David was Weather Adviser for over 30 years for a number of different sailing campaigns including the British Olympic Team, Admiral's Cup, Whitbread teams, the British, New Zealand and French America's Cup campaigns.

He also taken part, as Meteorologist and sailo, in the 1981 Fastnet race.

David Houghton's knowledge of weather forecasting, world weather patterns and climatology is vast to say the least.
